OSSETIA AND OSSETIANS IN THE STATEMENTS OF THE CAUCASIAN ARCHEOGRAPHICAL COMMISSION (FROM THE THIRD VOLUME MATERIALS)

Abstract. The Statements of the Caucasian Archeographical Commission (SCAC) are one of the famous Russian sources on the history of Caucasus. Nowadays there is a necessity to issue a special edition of the full package of documents on Ossetia from this collection. Preparing such publication the author for the first time proposes a review and systematization of the SCAC third volume materials on the history of Ossetia and Ossetians of the end of the XVIII - the beginning of the XIX century.
