DYNAMICS OF RUSSIA’S AND AZERBAIJAN’S MEDIA-IMAGES FOR THE PERIOD OF 2000-2015

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing Russia’s and Azerbaijan’s media-images for the period of 2000-2015. The author identifies the positive dynamics of media-images development and discovers factors for its formation: collective projects and initiatives of Azerbaijan and Russia, activity of mass media, different institutions and civil societies. On the basis of the conducted analysis the author argues that cooperation of states and non-governmental organizations results in the creation of the countries’ positive images. The paper concludes that Nagorno-Karabakh political conflict is the only stumbling block in positive relations between the two countries.
