THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR SOLDIER IVAN TININ ABOUT MILITARY BATTLES OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. The article for the first time analyses the memories of one of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War Ivan Grigoryevich Tinin (19.06.1923 - 08.07.2007) as a source of war folklore. Stories about episodes of the World War I and World War II are similar in form with such genres of folklore as soldier tale, parable. The memorialist also uses famous anecdotes of the period under consideration. Moral and political assessment of historical events by representatives of different social strata of the Russian people is expressed in them using figurative speech means of oral tradition.
