Abstract. The article deals with the comprehension of the value-vision conflict in science, the connection of the value-vision conflict with such allied notions as the value conflict, the conflict of identities, the civilization conflict. It is shown that value-vision contradictions are highly significant for a man, and conflicts on their basis are hard-to-solve. Ethnocultural conflicts (intercultural, interethnic, interconfessional and others) act as empirical manifestations of the value-vision conflict.
