NOTION OF POLITICAL CONSCIOUSNESS IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY

Abstract. The article makes an attempt to reveal the correlation of the basic notions of contemporary politological discourse - the notions of consciousness and political consciousness. Some aspects of the formation of political consciousness in the conditions of the transformation of socio-political relations are examined. To replace old world outlook stereotypes it is necessary to develop political-ideological conceptions adequate to new conditions and contributing to the formation of modern public consciousness.
