Abstract. The article examines two types of philosophical criticism: external and immanent. The types of external and immanent philosophical criticism are analyzed by the example of the phenomenological method criticism by E. Fink, J. Derrida and the Russian researcher of phenomenology A. G. Chernyakov. By the example of these studies the author shows that external criticism implies considering false the metaphysical foundations of philosophical doctrine. On the contrary, immanent criticism implies considering false the method of a certain philosophical system.
