Abstract. The article aims to explicate the way to propel the social and philosophical category of production to metaphysical level. The author reveals the content of the concept "production" as an ontological category indicating the activity of the human being as a substantial individual, who reproduces and produces World, Existence, Law, Beauty. Relying on the research findings the paper presents five levels to propel the category of production to metaphysical level, at which it acquires a new ontological status.
