Abstract. The article reveals the outline of the idea of multiplicity in G. Deleuze’s philosophy. The author shows in what way Deleuze stands up for the idea of multiplicity by means of the analysis of the notions "against" and "for". The comparative analysis of the philosopher’s texts is conducted and it is revealed how exactly and in what contexts Deleuze substantiates the idea of multiplicity. The presented analysis allows revealing one of the key notions that became a basis for the turn to multiplicity in philosophy.
