INFLUENCE OF ORTHODOX TRADITIONS ON CREATIVE WORK BY I. F. STRAVINSKY

Abstract. The article focuses on Orthodox traditions, which influenced the spiritual creativity of I. F. Stravinsky. These very traditions are the key ones at the initial stage of the formation of Stravinsky’s creative personality and therefore are of great interest. The paper examines the facts of the creative biography of the composer, his publicistic materials. By the example of certain compositions the author identifies the origins of Orthodoxy in the creative heritage of the composer.
