Abstract. The article examines the results of the archeological studies of 2014 to search for Yermak’s grave. "Atlas of the Province of Tobolsk from 1806", where at one of the maps V. Filimonov marked the location of Yermak’s grave, became the basis for the studies. The excavations covered an area of 2700 square meters. In spite of the fact that the grave of the end of the XVI century wasn’t found, the acquired material confirmed the prospect to continue work using complex research methods.
