ETHNIC POLICY IN BASHKORTOSTAN: PECULIARITIES AND PROBLEMS OF ETHNO-POLITICAL AND ETHNO-SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE REPUBLIC

Abstract. In the article the peculiarities of ethno-political processes in the Republic of Bashkortostan, one of the multinational and poly-confessional subjects of the Russian Federation, are analyzed. The basic tendencies of the ethnic policy are considered and the key problems of the ethno-political and ethno-social development of the Republic are identified. The ways of their resolution with a view of the harmonization of interethnic relations are suggested.
