FAMILY RELATIONS AND SOCIAL STRUCTURE OF THE WESTERN FINNISH PEOPLE OF THE PERIOD OF THE EARLY MIDDLE AGES BY THE MATERIALS OF FINNISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article provides an analysis of the institution of the family relations and social structure of the Western Finnish people of the period of the early Middle Ages on the basis of linguistic data. The author examines the lexical units of Finnish language and the related languages, which allow better understanding the system of the blood relations and social relations of the Western Finnish people of the period of the early Middle Ages. The paper also studies the traces of the influence of other people and cultures on the objects under research.
