Abstract. The article aims to analyze the conception of love by the philosopher N. F. Fyodorov. In the theory of this philosopher love is considered as an integrating element, which should encourage the mankind to achieve the elevated goals. The author emphasizes the relevance of certain ideas by Fyodorov on the role of love in human life for modern Russian society. These ideas reveal the negative influence of the devaluation of the spiritual foundations of love in human consciousness and the domination of hedonistic attitudes to this feeling on social development.
