LIABILITY INSTITUTION IN MASS MEDIA ACTIVITY: COMMON AND SPECIFIC

Abstract. The article deals with issues related to the legal liability of mass media as a means of the suppression and prevention of law violations. The peculiarities of liability institution in this area consisting in ability to suspend and discontinue the activity of mass media are noted. The necessity to determine the place of preventions as measures of legal influence in the structure of the legislation on mass media is shown. It is proposed to carry out a deep analysis of liability institution in mass media activity in the process of work on the Information Code in order to solve the problems of legal collisions that arise in law-enforcement practice.
