INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CENTRAL BLACK EARTH REGION ON THE EVE OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR

Abstract. The article examines the process of the industrial development of the Central Black Earth Region in the years of the first five-year plans. Special attention is focused on the history of the development of large-scale industry within the territory of the region. The contribution of the industry of the Central Black Earth Region to the military-industrial complex of the USSR on the eve of the Great Patriotic War is shown. On the basis of the analysis the peculiarities of the industrial development of the region are revealed.
