METHOD OF I. LAKATOS AS AN EXPRESSION OF MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF POST-NEOCLASSICAL SCIENCE

Abstract. The article conducts an analysis of the methodological approach of I. Lakatos and shows its significance as some "narrow subject" for finding out the mental characteristics of post-neoclassical science. The basic characteristics of the method are highlighted. The philosophical and normative components of Lakatos’s approach in the context of their commonality with the socio-cultural purposes of postmodernity are analyzed. The coincidence of the orientation of the value factors of the scientific method with the positioned values of the epoch is revealed.
