ESSENCE AND SPECIFICITY OF "NEW BARBARISM" IN MODERN CULTURE

Abstract. The article reveals the main features inherent in society, which can be characterized as "new barbarism". It is told that modern social processes have not only a positive but also a negative character; the paper attempts to reveal features inherent in the negative aspect of social life. Attention is focused on the fact that so-called "barbarism" is an ontological phenomenon that has been peculiar to the man during all the history of his existence.
