ATTEMPT OF RESEARCH OF L. N. TOLSTOY’S LIFE AND CREATIVE WORK IN EXISTENTIAL PHILOSOPHY OF L. I. SHESTOV

Abstract. The article considers the main stages of the creative biography of L. N. Tolstoy singled out on the basis of L. Shestov’s works. The periodization of L. N. Tolstoy’s creative "worlds", their world outlook characteristics and literary expression are described. The author identifies the typical features of L. Shestov’s research position associated with attention to the critical periods of the writer’s life and their subsequent representation in literary, philosophical and publicistic works.
