SOCIAL AND CULTURAL DETERMINANTS OF GENDER MENTALITY

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of the mentality of the representatives of male and female sexes, and attempts to highlight social and cultural foundations, which determine the characteristic features of the thinking and world outlook of men and women. As the fundamental determinants of gender mentality social, economic and cultural factors are denoted. The peculiarities of the mentality of sexes in patriarchal society are also described. The problem of the transformation of gender mentality in modern times is actualized.
