STATE RESETTLEMENT POLICY AS ONE OF THE FACTORS OF PROVIDING THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF RUSSIA IN THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract. The article analyses the legal and organizational measures of state resettlement policy, which was conducted in the Russian Empire in the XIX century with the aim to populate the outlying territories with the representatives of different classes. The author comes to the conclusion that the colonization of the little-developed territories of Siberia and the Far East was a way of the preservation of the territorial integrity of the country, the expansion of its borders and provided the tasks of the national security of the state.
