Abstract. The article is devoted to the literature of the Baikal-Amur Corrective Labor Camp (Bamlag), which existed within the territory of the Amur region from 1932 till 1938 with the administration in the town of Svobodny. The central Bamlag newspaper "The Baikal-Amur Mainline Builder" is presented, particularly literary material that was published in its pages is analyzed. The author, focusing her attention on the themes and genres of the camp literary works, reveals their main destination: to ideologically substantiate the forced labor of the prisoners. The paper contains poems, which haven’t been introduced into scientific discourse before.
