FROM MODERNISM TO ANTIQUITY: FORMATION OF THE NAZI MYTHOLOGEMES IN CULTURE SPHERE

Abstract. The article examines the issue of the formation of the Nazi mythological constructions in culture sphere, with the help of which new national identities were formed. The author focuses attention on the fact that the falsification of historical and cultural memory allowed the Nazis "to prove" the groundlessness of modernism and to reveal the "presence of common roots" of the Nordic art and antiquity to achieve the consolidation of the German nation based on the representative past.
