CONCEPT OF CAPITALISTIC RATIONALITY IN PHILOSOPHY OF CULTURE

Abstract. In the article the concept of capitalistic rationality is evolved, which was grounded in Neo-Marxism and the theory by H. Arendt. Developed by G. Lukacs and based on the law of value by K. Marx, the concept of capitalistic rationality is understood in the context of culture analysis in critical theory and moral philosophy of H. Arendt. Containing the principle of rational-calculative division of labor in its base, capitalistic rationality conceals in itself the irrational moment of the forcible character of the organization of capitalistic production that changes the anthropological status of the individual and the ways of culture organization.
