Abstract. The article considers the system of the historical views of the German existentialist, philosopher, historian, culture specialist and political essayist Karl Jaspers. The author pays special attention to the comparison of the characteristics of the historical and theoretical constructs of Karl Jaspers with the similar constructs of his contemporary opponents. In the process of comparative analysis the specific features of the historical worldview of Jaspers are revealed.
