MODERN PASSIONS: FACES OF THE GENRE IN THE XX-XXI CENTURIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the musical genre of "Passions". The author briefly characterizes different types of historically established passions. Special attention is paid to the tendencies of the genre development in the second half of the XX - at the beginning of the XXI century. The paper aims to examine the diversity of modern "Passions" taking into account the observation of the established genre canons and their reconsideration.
