Abstract. The article touches on the issues associated with the special characteristics of musical-performing terminology. The author emphasizes that, having a full set of characteristics typical of the terms of any branch of human activity, the language of musicians in each of the parameters "deviates from the norm" allowing the researchers speaking on the special status of the mentioned sphere of professional language. According to the author, such peculiarities of musical-performing vocabulary are connected with the special status and specifics of musical art itself.
