PUBLIC DIPLOMACY OF THE USA: THEORIES AND CONCEPTIONS

Abstract. The article for the first time summarizes the theories and conceptions on public diplomacy of the USA. Such branches of knowledge as history, cultural studies, anthropology, political science, science on international relations, marketing and political communication interpret differently the purposes and results of the USA public diplomacy. The USA public diplomacy involves the informational, cultural, educational and Internet-projects of the USA aimed at the realization of foreign-policy tasks.
