WORKERS AND CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY AT ENTERPRISES OF TYUMEN DURING THE FIRST FIVE-YEAR PLANS (1928-1941)

Abstract. In the article by the materials of Tyumen a little-studied topic - workers’ participation in the cultural and educational activity of enterprises during the first five-year plans - is analyzed; its directions and forms of organization are considered. The author concludes that new norms and values were introduced actively in the production life of Tyumen workers, the sphere of which was becoming more extensive. However, the main purpose of this work was not only an effort to raise the cultural level of the worker, but also to form his/her communist beliefs.
