INTERNET RESOURCES AND INFORMATION SUPPORT OF STATE POLICY

Abstract. In the article the variants of the definition and classification of the Internet resources are considered. By the material of the Russian and American practice their nature and peculiarities for the information support of state policy are analyzed. The author grounds the conclusion that the use of new information and communication means contains both new political opportunities (democratization, the effectiveness increase of political system etc.) and threats (public opinion manipulation, the growth of attempts by the western governments to influence the internal policy of other countries, the militarization of cyberspace and so on).
