Abstract. In the article the current negative tendencies of HIV infection spreading within the territory of the Russian Federation are reflected. The authors emphasize the necessity for the realization of victimological prevention as one of the most effective measures in struggle against HIV infection. The researchers identify the categories of population, which become the victims of this crime more often, as well as designate problematic issues connected with the implementation of educational programs aimed at enlightening work among "risk groups".
