ROLE OF MILITARY MEN OF THE INDEPENDENT CAUCASIAN CORPS IN ORGANIZING MEDICAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN STAVROPOL REGION IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract. The article examines the history of creating the system of the medical care of military men and civil population in Stavropol region in the period of the Caucasian War. The paper shows the role of the military men of the Independent Caucasian Corps in organizing the system of medical care, fighting epidemic diseases. The author analyzes the interconnection of military and political events in the Northern Caucasus in the first half of the XIX century and the formation of the system of medical institutions in Stavropol region - both military and civilian.
