MICRO-SECURITY AS A STRATEGY TO COUNTER "CATASTROPHES" IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract. In the article the critical analysis of the "militaristic" ideology of security is presented. The characteristics of "catastrophic consciousness" in the modern society of universal risk are considered. The interrelation between the notions of catastrophe and risk is analyzed. The peculiarities of catastrophe in modern conditions are identified. A flexible strategy of micro-security is proposed as a tool to overcome the contradictions of "militaristic" approach to security.
