"PRE-EURASIANISM" AS A PHENOMENON OF F. M. DOSTOYEVSKY’S SOCIAL AND POLITICAL ESSAYS

Abstract. In the article the reasons, for which we can call F. M. Dostoyevsky an ideologist of "pre-Eurasianism", are revealed. The author believes that the identity of the writer’s and the Eurasianists’ positions is manifested in the following aspects: attitude towards the reforms of Peter I, the system of the ideocratic state, the issue of interrelation between the intellectuals and the common people and so on. On the basis of the provisions of the research the writer can be called a predecessor of Eurasianism.
