Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of the problem of deideologization. The author points at the theoretical prerequisites of the appearance of this movement in social thought, and also she analyses the views of such its representatives as D. Bell, R. Aron, and J. Fourastie. It is shown that the roots of such ideas lie in negative attitude to the phenomenon of ideology, which originates as far back as from the constructions of K. Marx and F. Engels. The goal of the paper is to approach the comprehension of the role of ideology in the life of the modern Russian society.
