HEIDEGGER’S PHILOSOPHY AND KUHN’S MODEL OF SCIENTIFIC REVOLUTIONS

Abstract. It is stated that one of the sources of Kuhn’s model of scientific revolutions is the philosophy by M. Heidegger. For the substantiation of this thesis the corresponding works by T. Kuhn and M. Heidegger are examined. It is concluded that there are solid textological arguments to confirm that there are correlations between the basic statements of Kuhn’s and Heidegger’s models of the growth of scientific knowledge. The answer to the question what the cause-effect relation is here is beyond the bounds of this work.
