POLITICAL AND LEGAL RELATIONS OF FINLAND AND RUSSIA IN THE SPHERE OF SIBERIAN EXILE INSTITUTION: HISTORICAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article gives the analysis of the Russian and Finnish criminal legislations of the XIX century, and also the stages of the gradual spreading of the legal norms of the Russian Empire in the criminal law of the Grand Duchy of Finland. The attention of the authors is paid to the development of Siberian exile institution in Finland after its joining the Russian Empire. The paper follows the corresponding policy of Alexander I and his successors, and also analyses a number of the normative acts of Russia and Finland in the sphere of capital punishment and other types of criminal punishment.
