ACTIVITY OF THE SOVIETS OF VORONEZH REGION FROM MARCH 1921 TILL 1922

Abstract. The article deals with the activity of the Soviet authorities of Voronezh region from March 1921 until the end of 1922. The influence of New Economic Policy that was approved by the peasantry on the change of the conditions of the activity of the local Soviets is studied. The results of the measures taken to strengthen the Soviet power and to optimize the structure of the machinery of the Soviets are noted. The connection between the results of the elections and the procedure of the positions filling in the local authorities (village Soviets and Volost Executive Committees), and the impact of the difficult economic situation in the country on their financing are revealed.
