Abstract. The article for the first time deals with church periodical press in Western Siberia during the Civil War in the context of the socio-psychological atmosphere, moral and legal changes that took place in the considered period. The actions of the Russian Orthodox Church of White Siberia on the elimination of negative social and moral phenomena in the life of the parishes are described. The aim is to identify the moral and psychological assessments of the weakening of the religious consciousness of the population on the part of church publications. The author focuses on the consideration of the reasons of the moral decline of the society, the mass persecution of the Orthodox Church, and the massacres of the priests.
