DIALECTICS OF FORMATION OF LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY AS DISCOURSE SUBJECT

Abstract. The article examines the problem of the formation of a linguistic personality from the viewpoint of the interaction of the individual and the collective in the process of the involvement of a native speaker into discourse generation as a variety of social activity. In this connection such features of discourse as conventionality - intentionality and instrumentality - creativity are analyzed. The linguistic and extra-linguistic factors determining the limits of the space of an individual’s free choice and influencing his/her formation as a discourse subject are revealed.
