IMAGE OF THE WORLD VERSUS THE WORLD VIEW: STAGES OF CULTURAL-PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPTUALIZATION

Abstract. In the article the content of the notions "image", "image of the world", "world view" actively functioning in the subject field of the humanities in stylistic and connotative diversity is analyzed. The author focuses on the problem of the correlation between the world image and the world view, which, despite variation in terminology, are presented mostly as synonymous, identical and equivalent. The terminological meaning of the concept "the image of the world" in the context of cultural and philosophical researches is specified.
