DRINKING ALCOHOL IN MOSLEM CRIMINAL LAW: EVIDENCE OF GUILT AND KINDS OF PUNISHMENT

Abstract. The article deals with the methods of the evidence of guilt in drinking alcohol, which was considered as a penal act in Moslem law. Special attention is paid to the issues of displaying the signs of alcohol intoxication, the testimonies of witnesses and the frank confession of the offender. The author analyzes the kinds of punishment for this type of crime, reveals the peculiarities of the approaches of the representatives of various legal schools formed in Arab caliphate, and emphasizes the relevance of the considered topic for Russian jurisprudence.
