VIRTUAL MUSEUMS IN SOCIAL NETWORKS

Abstract. The subject of the research of the article is one of the resources of the Internet - virtual museums in social networks. The goal of the work is a thematic study of this type of virtual museums. The paper gives the analysis of the existing approaches to the subject matter of virtual museums in social networks in Russian and foreign researches. Their specificity is reflected, which is conditioned by the peculiarities of the placement and perception of the information localized in social networks. The experience of the creation of such a type of virtual museums is examined; the causes conditioning the necessity of their further research and development are analyzed.
