CO-OPERATIVE TRADING NETWORK OF TYUMEN IN THE 1930S

Abstract. The introduction of the rationing system of the distribution of goods, which was caused by the considerable lag of agriculture behind industry, influenced the development of consumers’ cooperation at the end of the 1920s - the beginning of the 1930s. The article deals with the peculiarities of trade supply through the system of the closed distribution of goods in the first half of the 1930s. The effectiveness of this area of activity in the conditions of the commodity crisis is analyzed. The history of the emergence of co-operative department stores in Tyumen in the post-crisis period is covered.
