Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the reproduction of the ethnicity of the Oyrots and the Khakass in Soviet socio-political discourse. The author identifies its basic ideologemes: the backwardness of the "native population" before October Revolution, the Russification policy of the Altai spiritual mission, the idea of ??breaking with the past, the motive of friendship between peoples and overcoming economic and cultural backwardness under the leadership of Soviet power. Special attention is paid to the consideration of the museums activity aimed at the formation of the images of the autochthonous population of Siberia in public space.
