TYPOLOGY OF GAMES IN THE OPERA "THE QUEEN OF SPADES" BY P. I. TCHAIKOVSKY IN THE MIRROR OF CULTURE MYTH-CREATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the central themes of P. I. Tchaikovsky’s opera "The Queen of Spades" - the theme of the Game. The author makes an attempt in broad cultural view (using the classification game theory by R. Caillois, the structural and semiotic analysis of the types of cultural integrity by Yu. Lotman) to consider not only the mythologeme of the Card Game as a determinant component of the myth-making of the epoch, but also the specific peculiarities of musical text- and form-creation related to the influence of the principles of game logic.
