ONTOLOGY OF MYTH AND PHENOMENON OF MYTH-MAKING IN ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY

Abstract. The paper analyzes the content of the main areas of philosophical ideas about myth-making in the antiquity. The article reveals the key aspects of myth formation as specific reality. The ontologization of myth is considered through the lenses of allegoric and euhemeristic approaches. The research embraces the chief stages of the development of the philosophical and myth-graphical thought of the antiquity and focuses attention on such philosophical-speculative interpretations of myth nature as: genuine reality, poetic creative work, allegory, methods of education, historical memory, etc.
