Abstract. In the article the author turns to the creative work of the Russian philosopher Fedor Avgustovich Stepun. That part of his creative heritage is analyzed, which concerns the issues of the history of philosophical thought, the problem of philosophical method, the ontology and gnoseology of Stepun. The views of Stepun are compared with the views of those philosophers, who had a profound effect on his creative work.
