DEATH AND BEAUTY IN ANCIENT GREEK PHILOSOPHICAL-ESTHETICAL TRADITION (CONTEMPORARY INTERPRETATION)

Abstract. In the article the analysis of the metaphysical foundations of death and beauty in the context of the philosophical paradigmatic guidelines of the Ancient Greeks that coincide with respect to examining the world as an integral, closed system, is conducted. On the basis of value-informational approach the authors substantiate the idea that death in ancient philosophical tradition is a necessary phenomenon in informational-cosmic space, in which the informational value of a personality isn’t taken into account, and the esthetical criterion of the beauty and harmony of the system functioning - cosmos - is considered to be the principal reason of the death of "things".
