THEOSOPHY AND CIVILIZATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE WORKS OF O. SPENGLER AND A. TOYNBEE)

Abstract. The article examines theosophical moments in civilization theories by O. Spengler and A. Toynbee, the most significant representatives of "local civilizations theories". The consideration of "local civilizations theory" is suggested on the basis of Bacon’s trinomial throwing new light on the perusal of these classical works. The theoretical constructions of the mentioned authors are interpreted as synthetic ones combining theo-, nature- and anthroposophical elements.
