MECHANISMS FOR ACTUALIZATION OF INTERTEXTUAL RELATIONS IN LITERARY TEXT

Abstract. The article aims to examine the means for the actualization of intertextual relations in literary text. The paper analyzes in detail the explicit, implicit and derivational forms of intertextuality, characterizes the basic intertextual elements, describes their functions in literary text. Intertextuality being a form of the connection of the texts of different cultural-historical epochs is considered as a universal "storehouse" of cultural memory. The author concludes on the prevalent role of intertextual relations in the process of preserving and transferring cultural tradition.
